First Kids

The Preschool and Children’s Ministry seeks to partner with parents in leading children to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and guiding them to be disciples of Christ. We strive to do this in each of the following areas here at First Baptist Church:

Sunday Mornings

• Sunday School for Preschool and Children happens every week at 9:15am. We are using the Gospel Project curriculum as we walk through the Bible.

• Preschool Extended Care is a time where babies through PreK are laying a foundation of biblical truths. This hour we are learning that, “God made me! God loves me! and Jesus want to be my forever friend!”

• Kids’ Church happens Sunday morning at 10:30am. Worship designed for children in grades Kindergarten-3rd.

• First Kids Midweek is a time of worship, games, and small groups designed for kids’ birth – PreK and K – 6th grades. Featuring biblical truths taught in a high energy environment designed to excite kids to desire to learn about Jesus by weaving music, teaching, small group discussions, video presentations, and creative activities to reinforce one clear and simple bottom line each week so kids can walk away and remember what matters most. This time is anchored to the Gospel of Jesus.

The heart of the Children’s Ministry here at First Marion is to share the love of Jesus to all families. We believe that Deuteronomy 6:4-9 is our call to equip parents to be the primary discipler to their children. If you have any questions please contact Elsie Shawn, Children’s Minister.
